DIAMOND dissemination manager, Maria Chiara Leva from the TU Dublin has participated in Women in Transport (WIT) Platform for change online workshop organised by the European Commission on June 15th.
The workshop had the objective to discuss about the gender gap in transport sector, to share experiences and challenges faced and linked to Covid-19, as well as some difficulties to gather certain data or other issues.
During the session, Maria Chiara Leva explained to the expert audience attending the workshop, the main work done within the project, as well as the latest achievements, with particular mention to relevant data collection campaign results obtained and analysed these past months. The presentation also included an explanation of the DIAMOND toolbox development idea for the Fairness maturity model assessment.

The workshop also included a presentation from, DIAMOND sister project, as a relevant example of a European project funded under Horizon 2020 programme and working on gender data in transport sector.
The Women in Transport – EU Platform for change is focused on strengthen women’s employment and equal opportunities form women and men in the transport field thanks to the actions brought about the all the platform members.
