Ajeni Thimnu, researcher at the Technological University of Dublin, has participated in the event “Celebrating success in research and innovation”, organised by the TU Dublin School of Food Science and Environmental Health (FSEH). The session, which took place on June 17th, was celebrated in an online format.
During the event, Ajeni Thimnu delivered the presentation “A view of factors affecting women’s use of public transport”, giving a general overview about the DIAMOND project, the work done within the project and its main objectives. Thimnu also shared some examples of key factors affecting women as users of public transport system.
The Technological University Dublin is the first Technological University in the Republic of Ireland since January 1st, 2019. TU Dublin was formed by merging three Dublin based Institutes of Technology (DIT, ITB and ITT) and is now the largest higher education institution in Ireland with almost 28,000 students and over 3,000 staff. The TU Dublin School of Food Science and Environmental Health (FSEH) is a research institution working in different areas such as nutraceuticals, food science, synthetic organic and inorganic chemistry and biological chemistry.
