A presentation on DIAMOND project was included into WAVE’s 11th Annual Meeting “Les Rencontres WAVE”, which took place on 11 April 2019, bringing together nearly 300 women and men from the automobile and mobility sectors.
During the meeting, WAVE presented to its members and guests its ongoing projects, which was the opportunity to outline the DIAMOND project and to encourage all those present to consider the implications for women on current and future mobility policies.
The programme also included the presentation of the annual Wave – Kantar TNS barometer measuring the place of women in the car industry. This was followed by a message from Luc Chatel, a former French government minister (2007-2012). He heads up today a car industry group representing the sector with regular contact with political and governmental organisations. His speech touched on the need to make greater efforts to promote the presence of women in senior managerial roles.
The evening was also the occasion to announce the WAVE Women of Year, attributed this year to Agnès Poulbot, head designer of tyres at Michelin. The evening finished off with a networking cocktail party.
