DIAMOND’s project partner Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) has participated in the forum “Public Transport is a Women’s matter?” , which has taken place in Barcelona on March 15th . The event, hosted by l’Associació per a la Promoció del Transport Públic and Col·lectiu Punt 6, aimed at discussing about the design of mobility policies from a gendered perspective and the access of women in the transport sector.
In this event, DIAMOND project has been present in the 2nd Thematic Block – “What gender-based actions have been implemented in our environment?”. During this session, the project partner Juliana Vilert from FGC has presented DIAMOND’s work and objectives during the presentation “Mobility with a gender perspective. Reflections at FGC about an inclusive proposal”.
The presentation focused on FGC’s gender equity plan, including guidelines and protocols for transport users and to boost the number of women as professionals in the transport sector. On the other hand, Vilert explained different innovative initiatives and campaigns launched to help building a more inclusive public transport.
