The DIAMOND project technical coordinator Francisco Santarremigia, Ph.D. CTO of AITEC, has brought the project to the #ProgressivesSpeakUP School of young local and regional European politicians. The project has been presented as part of the Lab on Gendering Mobility organised on the afternoon of March 2nd in Valencia, Spain.
The lab, focusing on discussing how to end gender inequality and violence in every place, was participated by politicians from all over Europe members of the FEPS Europe, the Young European Socialists, the Socialists and Democrats Group in the European Parliament and the Party of European Socialists (PES).
Presentations and discussion tables included how to make a difference when it comes to designing and implementing effective gender equality measures, and how to contribute to a feminist vision of the European Union that safeguards achievements so far and pushes for faster progress in gender equality.
The DIAMOND project has developed tools, protocols and guidelines for promoting gender inclusion and equality in the transport and mobility sector through the assessment of transport user and professionals’ needs from a gendered perspective and the use of Big Data and Machine Learning technologies. This ecosystem was presented during the event, making a special mention to the Diamond toolbox. Moreover, a Login code for using this toolbox was provided to participants. You can get it if you fill the next surveys which will help us to continue collecting data and improve the accuracy of the toolbox.
