The DIAMOND project has been presented in two online sessions held within the 1st Multistakeholders’ Forum organised by TinnGO project and celebrated last 22nd of October.
During the session “Creating a paradigm shift in employment in the Transport Business Ecosystem”, Dr Maria Chiara Leva, Lecturer at the Technological University of Dublin, has presented DIAMOND’s work under the title “Revealing actionable knowledge from data for more inclusive and fair employment in transport sector”.
Leva gave a general overview about DIAMOND project and its main achievements, described the main tools and methodology used in the project to analyse and gather data from women working as transport professionals in Ireland and Spain with the aim to reveal new insights and increase the percentage of women in transport sector, and explained the future works and steps planned.
On the other hand, Elisabeth Young, Founder and President of WAVE, has participated in the session “Creating a paradigm shift in the educational sector and research and innovation” to discuss which strategies, policies and interventions have been most successful in order to increase diversity in transport systems.
During the presentation, Young explained the main tasks of WAVE within DIAMOND project and the role of the association for promotong automotive career opportunities and to open up the sector so that women can provide complementary expertise and a new dynamism.
The TInnGO Multistakeholders’ Forum had the objective to present scientific evidences and new perspectives to approach gender inequalities in the transport sector and to discuss on how these inequalities are created and addressed gendered practices of education, employment, technological innovations and entrepreneurship as arenas for change and inclusion of gendered innovations.
