The DIAMOND project has been presented in an online session held within the 4th meeting of the European Network for Multi-locality Studies celebrated from 12th – 13th of November.
During the session “Inclusion and Accessibility for Multilocal Populations”, Dr Andrea Gorrini, Transport Research Consultant from Systematica, has presented the work carried out within DIAMOND project under the title “GIS-based Analysis for Understanding the Women’s Needs as Users of Railway Public Transport: The Case of H2020 DIAMOND Project“.
Gorrini took this opportunity to give a general overview of the project and to talk about DIAMOND’s gender-sensitive approach aimed at investigating women’s needs as users of urban railway services and based on the analysis of geolocated datasets through the Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
The 4th international meeting of the European Network for Multi-locality Studies, hosted by the University of Milano-Bicocca, has focused in particular on Services and Policies for Multi-localism with the objective to offer the opportunity to discuss the need of policies and services and analyse the existence of the current ones.
