DIAMOND project has been presented at the event “Inclusive Mobility: Challenges and Opportunities in the European Year of Railways” organised by Railgrup from 14th – 15th of July.
The event, which counted with the participation of the most important actors in the railway mobility sector and representatives of groups of people with disabilities, was focused to explore the opportunities emerging from technologies, startups and the industrial sector and discuss about the investment needed to move towards a more inclusive mobility.
Laia Garriga, Head of Railways Sector Business at Eurecat and vice president of Railgrup, participated in the session and talked about how technology and research centres can contribute in the development of inclusive mobility projects and initiatives. Garriga took this opportunity to present DIAMOND as a key European project working for a more inclusive and efficient transportation system from a gendered perspective.
The Railgrup cluster, founded in 2002, is formed by 100 business members and has the objective to promote the development of the railway sector in Spain and the global competitiveness of its members by representing, promoting and defending their collective interests.
