The DIAMOND project has been presented at the Workshop “The power of Data Analytics in assessing Value of Time for Mobility and Transport Planning” of the MoTiV project, which has taken place in Barcelona on September 18.
During the workshop, project partner Jorgina Cuixart from Eurecat, presented DIAMOND as a key European project for a more inclusive transport system. Cuixart explained the work done in the project, its main goals and methodology and talked about the need of a major inclusion of women in the transport industry.
In this event, DIAMOND project has been present in the thematic block “Value of Travel time: an inclusive mobility”, hosted by Holger Haubold, Intellectual Property & Data Collection at the European Cyclist’s’ Federation (ECF). The European projects HiReach and Inclusion have also been presented during this session.
The workshop aimed at providing a comprehensive analysis of the dynamics of user preferences, behaviours and needs while traveling and to contribute in the generation of new knowledge that might lead to the implementation of innovative cost-benefit assessment methods of transport projects.
MoTiV project contributes to advance research on the value of travel time (VTT), by introducing and validating a conceptual framework for the estimation of VTT through a European-wide data collection.
