D6.1 Report on the testing of the Toolbox in the studied use-cases - Abstract
This document constitutes Deliverable D6.1 ‘Report on the testing of the Toolbox in the studied use-cases’ in the framework of the project titled ‘Revealing fair and actionable knowledge from data to support women’s inclusion in transport systems.’ (Project Acronym: DIAMOND; Grant Agreement No 824326).
This deliverable D6.1 aims to validate, test, and assess the Toolbox developed in the WP5, called Toolkit4Fairness, of the project regarding how helpful increasing their fairness is for the transport companies.
The development of the Toolkit4Fairness was based on all the previous work done in the DIAMOND project:
1. Identification of the needs and barriers women face towards the transport sector (See D3.1 (DIAMOND Project, 2019))
2. Data collection campaigns have been based on the methodological approach (see D4.1 (DIAMOND Project, 2021a)):
- Service and Employers’ Provision Data:
▪ Structured data (Use Cases I, III and IV).
▪ Observations (Use Cases I, II and III).
▪ Users and Employees’ Satisfaction Index questionnaires (all Use Cases).
▪ Social media data (Use Cases I, II and III). - Users and Employees’ Perception Data:
▪ Dynamic Argumentative Delphi survey questionnaires (all Use Cases). - Determination of the most relevant factors for each use case after the computational analysis (see D4.3 (DIAMOND Project, 2021b))
- Development and validation of the recommendations linked to each need and barrier by an interdisciplinary panel to achieve a more inclusive transport system for women users and employees (see D7.3 (DIAMOND Project, 2021c)).
- Inferences to determine how changing a specific factor will affect the others (see D7.3 (DIAMOND Project, 2021c)
The validation of the outcomes of the project though the Toolbox was carried out for the UC-I, UC-II, UC-III and UC-IV. In addition, it was agreed internally in the consortium that the UC-II was also validated with the Autonomous Vehicles (AVs) Guidelines developed in D9.3 (DIAMOND Project, 2022b).
Meanwhile D6.1 ‘Report of the testing of the toolbox in the studied use-cases’ is focused in the ex-ante and ex-post validation of the questionnaire developed to assess the usability and the support regarding fairness the Toolkit4Fairness provide to the companies and in testing the DIAMOND project tool and its impact on the goals in the mid and long term, D6.2 ‘Evaluation and validation of fairness’ (DIAMOND Project, 2022a) ensures that no potential bias and that no systematic unfair outcomes against any population group are present in the generated recommendations provided.
