The following document is the ‘Deliverable D3.1 Methodology and requirements for data collection’ in the framework of the project titled ‘Revealing fair and actionable knowledge from data to support women’s inclusion in transport systems.’ (Project Acronym: DIAMOND; Grant Agreement No 824326).
The document defines the methodological approach and requirements for data collection focusing on each Use Case of DIAMOND Project, as follows:
- Use Case I: Public Transport Infrastructures (Railways);
- Use Case II: (Emotion in) Autonomous Passenger Car;
- Use Case III: Vehicle (Bike) Sharing Fleet Management;
- Use Case IV: Employment of Women in Rail Industry and Freight/CSR Protocols.
The proposed methodology is based on the Fairness Characteristics identified through Thematic Analysis, and on the integration between interdisciplinary tools for data collection (i.e. UESI-Users and Employees’ Satisfaction Index questionnaires; DAD-Dynamic Argumentative Delphi survey questionnaires; observations; social media data; structured data).
The heterogeneous and disaggregated data gathered through the proposed methodology can be classified in two main categories:
- Service and Employers’ Provision Data;
- Users and Employees’ Perception Data.
The Service and Employers’ Provision Data Collection includes: Structured Data for Use Cases I, III and IV; Observations for Use Cases I, II and III; Users and Employees’ Satisfaction Index questionnaires for Use Cases I, II, III and IV; Social Media Data for Use Cases I, II and III. The collected Service and Employers’ Database is going to be analysed through Bayesian Network and artificial neural networks.
The Users and Employees Perception Data Collection includes: DAD-Dynamic Argumentative Delphi survey questionnaires for Use Cases I, II, III and IV. The collected Users and Employees Perception Database is going to be analysed using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). Deliverable D3.1 is aimed at planning Thematic Analysis and Data Collection phases of DIAMOND project to turn data into reliable and actionable knowledge for supporting the inclusion of women in transport systems. Deliverable 3.1 is especially useful for:
- WP3 Data Collection;
- WP4 Interdisciplinary Model Creation;
- WP5 DIAMOND Toolbox Development;
- WP6 DIAMOND Testing and Validation;
- WP8 Ethical, Legal and Data Management.
